Why would a god keep a diary?

This is a sample post. Replace it with your own, or delete the file.

When you are omniscient, you don't need to write anything down. So why would God keep a diary?

That question was the seed of Diary of a God. The answer, it turns out, is the same reason any of us do: to confess the embarrassing bits to someone who won't judge us. Even if that someone is a page.

Regulations for universe creation

Once I started asking questions, more kept coming. Are there regulations for universe creation? If so, who handles that? Is there paperwork? There is always paperwork.

Read Diary of a God free and find out.

Free
Diary of a God

A comic fantasy short story

Peek into the embarrassing confessions of God. What are timeless, spaceless voids good for, and who regulates universe creation?
Get it free

Misplaced Fools: where things stand

This is a sample post. Replace it with your own, or delete the file.

A quick progress report on Misplaced Fools, my absurd critique of tenure, time travel and modern academia.

The premise, in one breath

The wizards study esoteric subjects of no interest to anyone, don't teach classes, and have the magical ability of a squashed grape. Naturally, they should keep their jobs. Their solution? A crazy time travel plot, of course.

The question was never whether time travel was a good idea. The question was whether it counted towards their research output.

What's next

Edits, a proper cover (the one above is a placeholder), and then launch news. Newsletter subscribers hear first.

Coming soon
Misplaced Fools

An absurd critique of tenure, time travel and modern academia

The wizards are about to lose tenure, so naturally they turn to a ridiculous time travel plot to keep their jobs.
Get launch news

Welcome to the blog

This is a sample post. Replace it with your own, or delete the file.

Welcome! This is where I'll be posting updates on the books, notes on how they come together, and whatever else wanders through my head between chapters.

What to expect

Progress updates on Misplaced Fools and The Futility of Esoterica

Behind the scenes on characters, worldbuilding and the jokes that didn't make the cut

The odd musing on gods, wizards, academia and Doctor Who

If you haven't read it yet, Diary of a God is free. It's the quickest way to find out whether my sense of humour is for you.
